"I have been plus-size for a large part of my life. Often, that being the first thing noticed by family members. Growing up, I saw very little positive representation of plus size people. If there was, it most likely was a linked with some form of dieting. I want to be part of the narrative that feeling great about your body is not depicted by a norm. That bigger bodies can move and do things like model and love ourselves.
About 10 years ago I moved from the Caribbean, where it is very culturally diverse, to Western Europe and I noticed representation was limited. So, it's very exciting to be part of a movement that celebrates and encourages diversity.“
